Janine Cook has been a Deputy Associate Chief Counsel in the Office of the Associate Chief Counsel (Employee Benefits, Exempt Organizations, and Employment Taxes) since 2011, after serving for many years as a branch chief in employment tax and working as an associate and partner at McDermott, Will & Emery. As Deputy, she leads 5 branches in the Exempt Organization and Employment Tax areas, supervising approximately 50 professionals. She received her J.D. from Georgetown Law.
