Rosie Henderson

Rosie Henderson, a native Washingtonian, is the Controller and Assistant Treasurer at the Catholic University of America. As Controller, Rosie is responsible for all financial activities of Catholic including accounting, tax, financial reporting, procurement, accounts payable, treasury operations, post-award sponsored activities, financial policies, and compliance. Rosie provides ongoing support to the Audit Finance Committees of the Board of Trustees and most recently served on the Steering Committee as the lead on Planning, Resources, and Institutional Improvement standards during Catholic’s successful reaccreditation with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. She has over twenty years of experience devoted entirely to the nonprofit and higher education industry. Rosie began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) providing audit and assurance services to nonprofit organizations and higher education institutions. Before joining Catholic, Rosie served in several finance leadership roles at Howard University to streamline business processes, establish rigor in financial reporting, oversee financial sustainability plans, and ensure compliance with outside regulators. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Virginia. She is actively involved in accounting professional organizations and serves on the Board of multiple organizations that educate and mentor today’s youth including the Consortium of Catholic Academics and the Infinite Youth Empowerment Initiative.

Rosie has worked with Boards of Directors and senior management teams throughout her career. Rosie has also spoken at industry conferences, such as the Greater Washington Society of CPAs’ Not-For-Profit Symposium.
